Relationship between God and Joseph
The relationship between God and Joseph in the story is noticed, this is shown when Potipher's wife tries to seduce Joseph, but Joseph refuses her each time, saying:
"With me in charge, My master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he has entrusted to my car. No one greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against god?"
- This shows that Joseph is loyal to God, and their relationship between each other is strong because Joseph puts his trust in him, and believes and respects God.
There is another example of a strong relationship between Joseph and God, when Joseph is thrown into prison for being accused of trying to seduce Potipher's wife, when it was the other way around. But Joseph didn't give up, he never became depressed or frustrated, instead he still continued to fulfill his dream by growing in his leadership abilities as a servant and prisoner.
- This showed that Joseph did the right thing in the eyes of the Lord, he didn't sin against God and Joseph believed that by doing the right thing, even the consequences I will still believe what I think is right in my eyes and in the eyes of God.
